A $15 million lawsuit that was filed in 2009 against Walt Disney World has been dropped according to paperwork filed Dec. 27 with the Orange County comptroller’s office, theme park website Stitch Kingdom reports.
The lawsuit was filed by Leanne Deacon and alleges that her daughter suffered permanent brain damage from collapsing after riding Disney’s Tower of Terror ride at Hollywood Studios in 2005.
In the lawsuit, Deacon claims that Disney Parks Resorts did not provide enough warnings about the potential dangers of the ride and was seeking $15 million, which she claimed would be necessary to support her daughter for the rest of her life, Stitch Kingdom reports.
Today, the lawsuit was voluntarily dismissed, which could mean the parties reached an out-of-court settlement, according to the blog.
